CHILD PRIVACY POLICY Version v1.0-2026-09-08. Last updated 8 September 2026. This is your own privacy policy. It is not a shorter copy of the grown-up one. It is written for you if you are 13 to 17 and hold your own account in a group on this app. The sentences are kept short on purpose. A word that needs explaining is explained before it is used. WHAT THE APP KEEPS ABOUT YOU Your name and your picture. What you write in the group's chat. Your tasks, and when you tick them off. Events you are part of. Photos you add, and photos you are in. Games you play. The month you were born. Your parent or guardian gave that, and only they can change it. If your group holds a ceremony — a check-in, or a thanks round — what people write there is deleted automatically. That happens seven days after the ceremony closes, for everyone in the ceremony, not only you. WHY So your group can organise things together. That is all it is for. Nobody sells it, and there are no ads. WHO CAN SEE IT Everyone in your group can see the chat, the tasks, the calendar and the photos. That includes your parent or guardian, because they are in the group too. Only your parent or guardian can see the month you were born and the choices they made for you. Nobody outside your group can see any of it. Some settings are decided by your whole group together, and everyone is told in the chat when one changes. A couple of settings are the same for every account under 16 and are not yours to change. The exact, up-to-date list of both kinds is always on your own "What your parent can see" page in Settings. That list can change, so this page points at it instead of copying it. WHAT IS ONLY YOURS Your plan — the things you decide to do, and why — is yours. Nobody else in the group can read it. There is no assistant on your account, so there is no assistant conversation to read. The group's chat is the group's, not yours alone. You can delete a message you sent, but everyone in the chat saw it. YOU USE YOUR OWN NAME You use your own name and picture in your group. There is no way to use this app without them, and no made-up or anonymous way to join a group. The one exception is a complaint: you can send one without giving your name. See "If you want something deleted, or want to complain" below. WHAT THE APP NEVER DOES FOR YOU There is no assistant on your account. You cannot chat with an AI helper in this app. There is no voice assistant on your account either. Siri and Google Assistant cannot read or write anything for you. You cannot invite anyone from another group, and you cannot accept an invitation from one. Everything you do stays inside your own group. The home screen shows a short summary of what is coming up. For every other account that summary can be written by AI. For you it is written by plain rules instead, not by the app's AI service. WHAT YOUR PARENT OR GUARDIAN CAN DO They said yes to you having an account, and they can take that back. They can remove you from the group, and they can ask us to delete your account. The group's owner or admin decides whether children can be in the group, and the whole group is told when that changes. The app does not tell your parent what you looked at, or when. THE GROWN-UP WHO SAID YES, AND YOUR OWN SAY Before your account existed, a parent or guardian in your group said yes to it. That is called consent. The rules for apps that children use say a grown-up gives that consent for you until you turn 15. Their yes lasts 12 months. After that we ask them again. Nothing about your account changes if they forget to answer — the app just asks. You also had your own say. Tapping "I have read this" on your own page means you read what it says. That is called assent. Assent does not decide anything by itself. It is your own record, kept separately from theirs. NOTHING IS SOLD, AND NOTHING TRAINS AN AI Nothing about you is sold, ever. There are no adverts in this app, and nothing about you is used to choose one. Nothing you write is used to train an AI model. Not by us, and not by any company whose AI a grown-up in your group uses. WHERE THIS IS KEPT Your account is stored on a server in Australia. Sometimes a grown-up in your group asks the assistant a question. If it needs your group's tasks or calendar to answer, that information can be sent to a company that runs the AI. That company is not in Australia today. Nothing is sent there because of you alone. It is sent because a grown-up asked a question, and your information might be part of the answer. HOW LONG The yes your parent or guardian gave lasts 12 months. Then they are asked again. Everything else is kept while you have an account, because it is your group's record. If you write a public recipe review and it fails our checks, the flagged words are kept for 30 days, then deleted. WHEN THIS CHANGES The month after your 16th birthday, most of the extra protections in this policy lift. You get the same kind of account as an adult. Your parent or guardian stays linked to your account until you turn 18, even after that. When you turn 18, that link ends. From then on, the ordinary Privacy Policy is yours, and this one is not. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DELETED, OR WANT TO COMPLAIN Ask an adult in your group to remove a photo or a message, or delete your own. To have your whole account deleted, or to complain about how the app treated your information, write to privacy@brendanpatch.com. You can do that yourself. For a complaint you do not have to give your name. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) can help.
